Welcome to the new web portal for Alabama State Department of Education's Teacher Education and Certification Section. We have many exciting features and new content planned for future releases, so keep an eye on this page.
Since the initial launch of this portal on November 12th, 2009, we've had more than 265,000 visits by over 103,000 unique visitors originating from 76 countries and all 50 states, using a variety of devices.
With the most recent update to the portal, certificate and license holders can now register their email address with us to help make servicing renewals easier, faster, and less prone to error. If you're a substitute teacher in good standing, with a license that expires in 2010, you can renew your own license using our self-renewal service.
We would also like to draw your attention to our
teacher certification search page. This new page allows you to search for teaching certificates that are held by a specific teacher, along with a history of all certificates and licenses that have been issued to that individual in previous years.
Whether you are pursuing an education degree, applying for certification, looking for a teaching job in the state of Alabama, or you're an interested 3rd party that's searching for public information, our primary goal for this portal is to make it easy for you to find the information that you need.
